BookBuzz2013 was a Blast!

Whichever wonderful lady created this cool poster rocks! How awesome is this??

Last night, I joined 7 other authors for Book Buzz 2013 at Stone Creek Bar and Lounge. It was such a blast! I enjoyed meeting all of these authors in person for the first time after having tweeted and emailed with them for the last couple of years. And I have to say, I was blown away by how amazingly awesome each and every one of them were. I don’t think I could have asked for a better group of authors to hang out with for an evening.

The line up of amazing women included:

Enjoying a Pink Stiletto. YUM!

Our signature drink, the Pink Stiletto was delish! Thanks to our drink sponsor Shpilka Vodka for providing us with such yummy refreshments!

The crowd mingling and a few of our delicious snacks on the bar!

Me and Francine LaSala enjoying the food!

And the food looked so good! I saw many happy readers enjoying the fare! Diversion Books was generous and kept the yumminess coming from the kitchen all evening. Thank you!

I swear I had minor fangirl moments with each author. “Excuse me, Ms. Schorr, um, could I, um, get a picture with you?”

Meredith Schorr and me chillin’. 🙂

Myself and Eileen Goudge.

Our books!

Our table full of books, swag and goodies was beyond awesome. How could you not want to walk away with a bag full of books with this kind of selection in front of you. I was honored and humbled to be included in this mix of talented writers! And I have to give a huge shout out and thank you to Julie Valerie for helping us out at the table all evening. We couldn’t have mixed and mingled without you! (Somehow, she’s the only one I didn’t get a photo of!)

I spent the evening chatting with my fellow authors, meeting new people, and generally just enjoying the experience!

Myself and Samantha Stroh Bailey.

Myself and Jen Tucker!

Lucie Simone and me.

OMG, I couldn’t love the look of these cookies more!

As the evening wrapped up, it was great to see new friends—and hopefully fans!—walk out with books and our giveaway cookies. The gorgeous cookies were made by Virginia Patterson! I cannot tell you how thrilled my girls were to see these cookies in my kitchen this morning! LOL. They said, and I quote exactly, “Look mom! Margaritas!” Yes, they are my children. And yes, I do, on occasion, make margaritas. 🙂 However, to be truthful, these look much more like cosmos than margaritas, but I won’t hold that against the cookies. LOL.

Cari Kamm and myself.

Jen Tucker photo-bombing Cari and me! LOL.

By the end of the night, we were all a smiling through the pain of sore feet from those damn sexy stilettos! And a few of us, not naming names… Jen Tucker… started getting a little silly…

I had a fantastic time meeting all of these wonderful, talented authors, their friends, husbands, publishers, and every other guest who stopped by to visit with us! And as I limped across the street to the parking garage, I was so thankful I’d remembered to grab my Uggs before leaving the house! Ouch…

Party stilettos and post-party Uggs.

Monday Memories — Memorial Day Weekend 2013

Making memories on the weekends, captured in pictures…

… And yes, I just now realized it’s Tuesday…

Greens and blues. Beautiful!

Visited our local farm to see the baby animals. Not as many as I’d expected to see, but still always a good time. Feeding the goats.

Stopped by a sanctuary/park we’ve driven by a million times but never wandered through. Lots of beautiful green space! And busy bees buried in flower pollen.

Tell Me What YOU Want

That sounds dirtier written out than it did in my head. LOL.

April was the month I posted something everyday to correspond with a letter of the alphabet. May… I think I’ve posted 3 times, including this one. Neither is good. I have to find some kind of balance and I seem to do better when I have a schedule. But to have a schedule, I need to know what YOU, my faithful followers, want to come here to read about.

Once upon a time I had an Ask an Author feature where I would ask different authors questions. Usually a couple of book related ones, and then a couple of general personality style questions. I even had it opened up for readers to send in their questions for authors, though no one ever took me up on the offer. Another feature I’ve had in the past was Friday Favorites where guest answer a dozen questions about their favorite things. Both features are light reading and meant to be entertaining. Do either of those things sound good enough to you that I should revive them?

What other kinds of things do you like to read on blogs? Do you want to chat life stuff? Recipes? TV shows? I love chatting hero hotties, but I don’t like to post those kinds of pics on my blog, so that’s not an option. What about survival/preparedness skills since it does tie into one of my books? Character interviews? Behind-the-scenes book talk? Deleted scenes? Guest author’s articles? What I’m reading this week?

So tell me what will bring you back to visit with me!

Cover Reveal! Lost Without You!

I finally got the go ahead to share the cover for LOST WITHOUT YOU, the third and final book in my reality TV romance series! If you’ve been following along with the series, this is Zoe’s story and I promise you, she isn’t who you think she is…

Zoe Oliver never wanted to be on another reality TV show… until Chip Cormack made an offer too good to refuse. He’s guaranteed her a payday this time and a chance to redeem herself in America’s eyes. But Zoe worries she won’t be able to focus as her desire for Chip grows and her strength to resist him weakens. When she learns she’ll be roughing it in the woods with Chip and without luxuries like indoor plumbing and electricity, she’s instantly on edge, feeling naked and terrified that her scars will be exposed and her secrets revealed. When Zoe’s past turns up on the show, she fears she’ll lose not only the life she’s sacrificed everything else to have, but also the affections of the only man she’s ever trusted with her heart.

And it’s already up on Goodreads, so add it to you TBR pile today!

AVAILABLE ON AMAZON/NOOK July 1st, 2013!

Haven’t read the rest of the series yet? Shame on you… 😉  Check out how the series got started with Cassidy’s Story in FALLING FOR YOU!

Newly single Cassidy Quinn is thrilled to be a contestant on the new reality dating show The One. But her excitement turns to horror when the gorgeous bachelor turns out to be her ex-boyfriend. Seeing Brad again makes Cassidy realize she might not be as “over him” as she thought—and then she meets hunky cameraman Evan Burke.

After watching his brother lose his wife in a tragic accident, Evan vows never to fall in love. But following Cassidy around as her personal cameraman makes him question his decision, and resisting her gets harder with every sunbathing, bikini-wearing day.

Cassidy and Evan begin a forbidden affair while her ex-boyfriend tries to win her heart back one groping, awkward moment at a time. If Cassidy can manage to stop falling off horses (literally), stop falling onto her ex-boyfriend, the bachelor (yes, literally), and stop falling in love with backstage playboy Evan, she might still make it through the show without becoming a tabloid sensation.

But soon Cassidy must choose between the ex who broke her heart and the cameraman who might never love her back. For Cassidy, this reality show just got real.

And don’t miss Paige’s story in STUCK ON YOU!

If being forced to team up with reality TV’s favorite bad girl wasn’t enough, falling for her brother might just make this reality show a real nightmare.

Paige Anderson agrees to be on a new reality show called Treasure Trekkers, a show where contestants use handheld GPS units to find hidden caches filled with prizes, with her good friend Cassidy. But when Cassidy is unable to compete, Chip Cormack, the show’s producer, steps in with a last-minute replacement to be Paige’s partner – Zoe Oliver, reality TV’s favorite bad girl.

Jack Miles (aka Miles) is a mountain climber with the body to prove it. Miles convinced his climbing partner Ben to come on the show with him for one reason – to prove to Ben that they can still hike together, regardless of the fact that Ben lost his foot in a tragic accident. Miles isn’t about to let anything get in his way of winning – not even beautiful Paige.

But when Miles and Paige are thrown into an alliance with their teammates, working closely together leads to more than just good strategy. Can Paige steal Miles’ heart while surviving Zoe long enough to win the game?

Announcement! Signed With Entangled Publishing!!!

I’ve been sitting on this news for what feels like forever, but now I can shout it from the roof tops…

I’m so, so, so excited to finally announce that I’ve signed a contract with Entangled Publishing. I’ve been wanting, wishing, hoping to sign with Entangled since before their doors opened and they were still asking for people to submit to them. It may have taken me a while… a long while… to find the right book for Entangled, but I’ve finally done it! And I couldn’t be more thrilled! When I get confirmation on the release date, I’ll let you know!
