My New Stilettos!

Thanks so much to everyone who voted for my new pair of stilettos during the Chick Lit blog hop. I went shopping and tried on many pairs of torture devices. Needless to say, they were not the ones for me!

Than I found these babies and fell in love! I love the straps, the neutral color, the covered toe and the heel height. I can’t wait to wear them with dark skinny jeans on date night with my hubs. And I also have a couple of parties coming up that these shoes will be perfect for with the dresses I have picked out.

So what do you think? Did I do good for my first pair of stilettos?

(Do these count as stilettos? How sad that I write about them all the time and don’t know if these count.)

Happy Birthday to Me! And a Gift for YOU!

Hi everyone,

Today is my birthday and to celebrate I’m giving you all a gift!! From today until May 31st, use promo code: AW38Q  at Smashwords.com and get Bunny Hills and Bikinis for only .99!!!

Amelia Brooks agrees to a weekend retreat in California, thinking it will be held in sunny Malibu only to find out she’s stuck in chilly Lake Tahoe for four long days—just what a girl from Minnesota wants to hear in the middle of winter. Now instead of wiggling her toes in the sand, her feet are squeezed into her new manufactured-by-Satan-himself-uncomfortable boots. If that’s not enough, Amelia’s obnoxious colleague William has decided this is the weekend they’ll finally be together and he won’t keep his thoughts—or his hands—to himself.

Amelia’s ready to kick off those boots and peel off her wooly sweater once she meets Nate Miller—the workshop’s hunky presenter. But Nate’s not ready to settle down. He’s seen his workshop buddies fall in love then fall out of the running for being promoted to the big city workshop circuit and he’s not about to let that happen to his life’s dream—until he gets involved with Amelia. Now he’s not so sure he can walk away at the end of the weekend with his heart intact and his promotion in hand.

Now Amelia’s got four days to stave off William’s persistent advances long enough to fall in love with Nate and possibly…learn to ski the bunny hill.

A full-length contemporary romantic comedy!

Chick Lit Author Blog Hop 2012!

May is Chick Lit month and to celebrate, we’re having a blog hop! I love blog hopping! There are 34 awesome authors participating and giving away some fabulous prizes too! And somewhere in each authors blog hop post is one italicized word. Find all the words and email them (in one email!) to Chick Lit Blog Host at CLABlogHop@aol.com. If you find all of them, you’ll be entered in to the grand prize drawing for a $150 SEPHORA GIFT CARD!! Who wouldn’t LOVE a shopping spree?

I’ve always loved chick lit. There’s something I connect to with the heroines who go on these journeys to finding themselves. I think my journey to figuring out what I really wanted in life took me a while too. Although there were a lot less shopping trips and credit card payments, and there was not a single solitary stiletto to be seen. Lately, I’ve been reading a ton of chick lit and I feel the overwhelming urge to buy myself my first ever pair of stilettos. I have no where to wear them other than to school pickup for my kids, which somehow doesn’t seem entirely appropriate. But maybe a date night out with hubs might be stiletto worthy—hubs is pretty hero worthy. 😉 So, wanna help me pick my first ever pair?

What do you get out of this deal? Well, cast your vote for which sexy shoes should be my new date-night stilettos in the comment section below and I’ll enter you for a chance to win a ebook copy of my newest release LOVE ON LANDING!

Retail therapy in Paris isn’t the only way to cure Tali’s broken heart. En route, she meets her family’s new pilot, Gavin. When personalities clash at 30,000 feet, the chemistry between them is undeniable.

One night in bed isn’t enough to quell the fireworks between Tali and Gavin, and when tempers erupt, Tali’s ex-boyfriend is there to pick up the pieces. But she’s finally realized what she really wants in life… and it isn’t her ex or the life her father has planned back home.

Now all Tali wants is the man who loved her enough to tell her what she didn’t want to hear, but can she win his heart on the trip home and find Love on Landing?

Here are my stiletto choices. Now there’s no guarantee that I’ll actually buy them, but I will go try them on. And if they don’t totally kill me to walk in or make me become one of my own clumsy characters, then I may just splurge a little! I’m thinking of these to go with a cute pair of dark skinny jeans. Pick your favorite and tell me about it in a comment for your chance to win!

CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED. WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED AND CONTACTED BY END OF TODAY! THANK!!
