Z is for Zombies

I know. It doesn’t really go with the whole romance thing I got going on with my blog and books. But I can’t help it. I love zombies! I do. I really, really do. I don’t care for a lot of scary movies these days because if they are based on anything that can happen in real life, then they scare me even more. But Zombie movies are awesome! Bring on the gore, the guts, the decapitations, and the jump out and grab you scares. I love them all when it’s in a zombie movie. I even love zombie books. So fun!

Do you love zombie movies too?

P.S. I did it! I survived the A-Z challenge and posted something for each day and each letter of the alphabet. And I’ll never do it again!

Y is for Yearly Goals

Do you set goals? I never really was a goal setter until I started writing and I needed a plan. I had to make sure I was clear on what I wanted to achieve so that I didn’t get sidelined by other little things along the way. So I started setting goals for myself. Some were big (Get published!) and other were small (finish writing the book). And I did both short term goals and long term goals. The first year I set these goals worked so well that I did it again the next year and the next. Now each year I go into, I think about my career, where it is currently and where I want it to be. Then I set the goals I think will help me achieve those things.

This year I set a major goal and I’ve already hit it and it’s only April! I can’t share with you just yet what it is, but my announcement is coming soon! Now I’ll have to set a new goal for the second half of the year!

Do you set goals for your career or just life in general?

X is for….

What the heck starts with X. Seriously. This was the worst one to write because when the heck starts with X that is interesting? Nothing. That’s what. There’s nothing in any of my books that has to do with X in any way. And I don’t think anyone wants me to ramble on about X-rays or Xylophones. Ugh.

So for X-day you are getting X marks the spot. In my newest release, ESCAPE TO MY ARMS, Sara and Dane have to navigate to a hidden bunker using only a map full of symbols that represent different areas or places. Only one symbol is the one that will take them to the hidden bunker. Luckily, between the two of them, Sara know what symbol they need to go to and Dane is familiar with the area. So together they actually stand a shot of getting there. But when looters force them to go on the run, their trek to the bunker might just get detoured. Do Sara and Dane make it to the bunker and safety?

Sara’s been preparing for this moment her whole life—she just never believed it would actually happen. With her bug-out bag and emergency food already in her truck, her only goal is to get to her family’s hidden bunker and wait out the pandemic that’s hit every major cruise ship port in the US. But her plan quickly falls apart. She’s out of gas, her route to the bunker is now a two-lane parking lot with no alternative in sight, and her only weapon is a pocketknife. For an experienced prepper, she’s made every rookie mistake.

Dane believes he’s safe in his cabin, off the beaten path and in the woods with his own source for water, electricity and an endless supply of food to hunt. After finding Sara stranded and alone, he’s suddenly not only providing for and protecting himself, but also the girl who wandered out of the woods and into his life. When looters come looking to take what he has, Sara and Dane’s only option is to make a run for their last hope—the bunker.

Can Sara and Dane find safety in each other’s arms and will they survive long enough to escape to a future together?
