Today is H day in the A-Z Challenge and I’m chatting about Holidays. My favorite holiday is Christmas. I love spending time with family, buying gifts for everyone, the treats, the music and even the decorations. If I had to pick a second favorite, it would have to be Easter. But only because of the chocolate bunnies, cream eggs and other various tasty treats.
What’s your favorite holiday?

My favorite holidays used to be Thanksgiving and Chanukah but in 2011, after complications following knee surgery, I woke up in the hospital and found out I had almost died and had pneumonia and had slept through Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. In 2012, I was laid off right before Thanksgiving and it was downhill from there after that–my parents got sick and ended up in the hospital and are now having to stay permanently at the nursing home where they went for rehab.
So…my favorite holiday now is July 4th–four days before my birthday and I love all the fireworks and picnics.

I happen to love Thanksgiving. I’ve streamlined it to be less about food and more about family. Don’t need to go into a food coma after working in the kitchen. Love getting the family together in a small house and we’re watching football together.

I know Thanksgiving is a huge holiday and while I enjoy it, it’s not my fave. Maybe because I’m Canadian and live in the states which means we celebrate 2 thanksgivings each year. It’s hard to pick one over the other as my favorite thanksgiving. Canadian Thanksgiving equals perogies, but American Thanksgiving is a 4 day weekend. Toss up!

Christmas is my favourite, too! But I have to admit, I love the months between Christmas and Easter… Cadbury’s Creme eggs are an addiction… 😀
Love your page, it’s so pretty!!!

Absolutely love Christmas. Deep down, I still believe in Santa- even though I have an 8-year-old and know full well who fills the stockings…I still believe in the magic.
