The 4th is one of my favorite holidays. We BBQ, drink lots of beer, and light fireworks. The kids play on the slip and slide, do sparklers, and run around with their cousins.

We’re lucky enough to catch a break from our kids’ hectic schedules–hello? Who said SUMMER VACATION? What a lie…
We’ll have a cook-out at Grandma’s place. Hopefully there will be lots of cousins visiting. Kids will swim and play in the yard…grown-up kids like me will sit on the deck, goofing off with my husband’s family.
It’s supposed to rain but that won’t deter us from getting together. Everyone works during the week so holidays make for precious time to catch up with each other.

I don’t really do anything special for Independence Day because fireworks freak me out. Instead, I end up having a very long b’day since it’s 2 days before the holiday and end up eating the entire week lol. Thanks for bloghop!

Hi Phuong! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! We will probably watch the fireworks for our living room windows because they freak my DD out too! Luckily a camp down the street sets them off so we get a pretty good view from our house and it’s much less scary for her.
