Friday Reads — 11/15

My Friday Reads this week are both ends of trilogies that I’ve been waiting what feels like forever to get my hands on!

1. Allegiant. 3rd book in the Divergent series by Veronica Roth. I love the continuous story line and I’m just getting to the very exciting end. I have mixed feelings about the plot of the book so far, so I’m curious to see how it will sit with me when I’ve finally reached the end.

2. Horde. My next read, which I hope to start tonight is going to be Horde, the 3rd in the Razorland trilogy by Ann Aguirre. When I finished book 2 (Outpost) last year, I immediately went online to find out when the final book would be out. I was so disappointed to have to wait a whole year. A year!! I may have even tweeted the author about it. In a good way, of course. It’s because I love her characters and the world she created so much that I was anxious to see what would happen. I’m really looking forward to jumping into this one!

For my Friday Family Reads, we are also reading 2 books aloud.

1. We’re still working our way through The Familiars. The story is really interesting but the chapters are very long so we save this book to read on weekends.

2. And we started reading Geronimo Stilton’s A Christmas Tale. It’s quick and easy reading that’s super fun for the whole family. We’re already halfway through the book and we only started last night! I highly recommend the entire Geronimo and Thea Stilton series for young readers.

What are you reading this weekend??

I’d like to finish Samantha Young’s Down London Road and start Julie Ann Walker’s Born Wild from the Black Knights series.

Hi Eileen! I haven’t heard of either of those books. I’ll have to check into them!

Spending the weekend reading Darynda Jones and some holiday short stories and novellas and trying to finish mine.

We’re putting up our Christmas tree this weekend and then I’ll really be in the mood for a Christmas story. Maybe I should find one to add to my TBR list!
